Deborah Gomez Kwolek, MD, FACP, FAMWA, MSCP

Dr. Kwolek is a menopause consultant and primary care physician at Mass General Brigham, and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. She is the founding lead of the Women’s Health and Sex and Gender Medicine Program in the MGH Department of Medicine. She is a nationally recognized leader in women’s health and sex and gender medical education. She co-edited and co-wrote the first textbook in the field of Women’s Health and Sex and Gender Medicine (WHSGM) that serves as a guide and curriculum for primary care clinicians and trainees. She co-wrote competencies in WHSGM that serve as the Society of General Internal Medicine’s (SGIM) national curriculum standard and has many publications, funded projects and national presentations in the field of WHSGM. She currently serves as Chair of the Sex and Gender Health Collaborative of the American Medical Women’s Association/Medical International Women’s Association and serves on the International Innovation Equity Forum of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the NIH to promote International Women’s Health and Sex and Gender Medicine. She serves as the Course Director for three HMS Post-graduate CME Courses: Primary Care Internal Medicine, General Internal Medicine for Specialists and the newly created Women’s Health and Menopause course.

Mahmooda Qureshi, MD, MSCP, DipABLM

Dr. Qureshi is a Primary Care Physician at Mass General Hospital and an Assistant Professor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. She is a Women’s Health Fellowship trained expert in women’s health and menopause, and a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner. Her additional expertise includes Lifestyle medicine, Mind-Body medicine, and is certified in SMART (Stress Management and Resiliency Training) from the Benson Henry Institute for Mind-Body Medicine. Her primary care practice is in Bulfinch Medical Group.
Dr. Qureshi is a faculty coach certified through Wellcoaches. In addition to coaching physicians, she has developed programs for coaching faculty. She is the Co-Director for Harvard’s CME Courses: Primary Care Internal Medicine, and this newly created Women’s Health and Menopause course.

Jan L Shifren, MD, MSCP is the Vincent Trustees Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School. She is a reproductive endocrinologist at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Director of the MGH Midlife Women’s Health Center. Dr. Shifren currently divides her time among patient care, teaching, and research. She focuses her research on menopause, including the effects of estrogens, androgens and alternative therapies on menopausal symptoms and sexual function. Dr. Shifren has served as Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator for several important studies related to menopause. She has published numerous articles, abstracts, and book chapters and has delivered national and international presentations on menopausal hormone therapy, androgens for women, female sexual function, and the genitourinary syndrome of menopause. Dr. Shifren is active in numerous professional societies and is a Past President of the Menopause Society.

Dr Hirsch is the CEO and founder of Health by Heather Hirsch, one of the premier educators of women and women’s health providers about menopause through media and continuing education courses. She founded the menopause and midlife clinic at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital while serving as faculty at Harvard Medical School in 2020, and most recently launched her private telemedicine-focused practice while co-founding a technology company seeking to revolutionize healthcare for millions of women. She is boarded in Internal Medicine, certified as a Menopause Specialist, and is a Fellow of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH).
Avrum Bluming, MD, MACP

Dr Bluming is one of the best-known voices in the field of the safety of estrogen therapy. He has served as Director of Oncology, Chief of Medicine and Chief of Staff and was a practicing hematologist and medical oncologist for many years. He organized the first study of lumpectomy for the treatment of breast cancer in Southern California in 1978; he was a co-investigator on the original study evaluating the relationship between the timing of initial breast cancer surgery within the menstrual cycle and prognosis, and for the past 3 decades, he has been studying and publishing the benefits and risks of hormone replacement therapy administered to women with a previous history of treated breast cancer. He has taught at academic institutions around the country and is an invited speaker at national and international conferences.
Jewel Kling, MD, MPH, FACP, MSCP

Dr. Jewel Kling is a Professor of Medicine, Chair of Women’s Health Internal Medicine, Assistant Director of the Mayo Clinic Women’s Health Center and Dean of the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Dr Kling’s clinical and research expertise are in menopause, sexual health, LGBT care, education, as well as expanding the discipline of Sex and Gender specific medicine. Dr. Kling is recognized as an institutional and national leader in menopause, speaking and published extensively in the field. She is a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner, a Fellow and board member of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH), and member of the American Medical Women’s Association Sex and Gender Health Collaborative.
